Market Veteran Madhusudan Kela's Outlook For 2022

Speaking to ET NOW, Madhu Kela - Market Veteran says 2021 has been a great year for equity markets. He doesn’t expect to see the same magnitude of gains. He also doesn’t see any significant correction in the coming year. He believes 2022 is expected to be a year of moderate returns. The terminal value of large companies has gone up in 2 Years, he adds. He feels large because, with a strong balance sheet, he has survived. He is certain that markets as a whole are not at a euphoric valuation. He believes they are tilted towards economy-linked sectors. He is bullish on manufacturing and economy-linked sectors. In the case of holding, he advises holding companies where valuations are still comfortable. He advises selling companies where euphoria exists, like chemical companies.
