I think the reason Christianity gets a bad rap is because a lot of what they're teaching is garbage religion.

First of all, Jesus wasn't a "Christian." He was a Jew, but the Jews had him killed for calling them out on pushing garbage religion.

Second, Jesus never said to start a church or form a religion, you know who did that? The Romans. They saw his popularity as a threat, and they hijacked the Jesus brand and turned it into something it's not.

Third, Jesus was anti-capitalist. He said putting profits over people is a grave sin that will kill your soul and harm your neighbors. He said share with your neighbors.

So Jesus pissed off big religion, big government, and big business, the same three institutions that are screwing us up today.

Yeah, a lot of religion may be garbage, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Look for yourself at the things Jesus said, learn for yourself what it means.

And here's a bonus the mainstream church doesn't want you to know about: the Gospel of Thomas. I think you should take a look at that, too.
