can't believe this happened. i set up a show with the band who released my favorite album of the year - soul glo. it was fantastic

i was told after the set that it was one of our best and tightest yet, energy was great technical shit was good, it all felt right.

soul glo was exactly what you'd hope, super electric on stage. their studio release was so tight and clean sounding i thought it might not transfer to a live experience - and it doesn't. it is so much better live.
truly one of the best live performances i've ever seen. they are fucking crazy

musical skill aside, i walked into the green room before our set after the openers (locals and my buddies grandpa vern) and a couple of the members of soul glo apparently hot boxed the shit out of it, after walking in for 10 seconds to grab something and walking out i was maybe the highest i've ever been.
