Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Terry Johnson, vocalist, songwriter, arranger and guitarist for the Flamingos, describes the genesis of the group's 1959 signature hit, "I Only Have Eyes For You" and performs the song with his Flamingos (Theresa Trigg, Stan Prinston) at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center in New Bedford, Massachusetts on October 16, 2021. The man "George" that he refers to is producer George Goldner, the president of End Records. On the original recording, Nate Nelson (1932-1984) sang the lead vocal and Terry sang first tenor, played guitar, and arranged the song, which had been written by Harry Warren in 1934.
