As a cat mom of two (Misha and Gatito), I was pretty worried about Gatito not drinking enough, especially during this very hot summer. After a small research I found out that a water fountain would increase their interest in drinking water, making sure that they stay healthy and hydrated.

The Catit Water Fountain is very easy to assemble, but make sure to clean all the parts, also the pump and especially the filter (rinse the filter for at least for 10 minutes) before using the fountain. Use only water and a sponge (no soap is needed) to clean the parts.

The filter will keep the water clean but depending on the amount of your fluffy family members, you need to clean the fountain and exchange the water every few days. The pump needs to be cleaned at least once a month - if you have a cat with long fur, the pump might get congested faster than with a shorter haired Fluff.
