Billy Frank Jr. (1931 - 2014), 2015 Presidential Medal of Freedom Honoree, was a champion of economic justice and human rights throughout his life. A citizen of the Nisqually Indian Tribe and former U.S. Marine, he is remembered best as both fighter and Treaty of Medicine Creek fisherman committed to maintenance of a healthy natural and human environment for sustaining dignity and shared respect in “this sacred place we call home."

Prior to his burial at the Niqually's "Leschi Cemetery on Reservation Road," funeral services attended by more than 10,000 mourners had lasted more than 4 hours in honor songs and spoken tributes in his memory. I am posting a number of these on YouTube in short segments for viewing.

Services were hosted by the Squaxin Island Indian Tribe at their Events Center, Little Creek Casino & Resort Hotel; Kamilche-Shelton, WA.
