Parents line up around a pile of cow dung covered in flowers to dip their children in a bizarre ritual in Betul Village in Madhya Pradesh. The ritual is performed after Diwali and after performing Govardhan Puja. The infants and children are dipped or made to roll in the pile of cow dung for good luck and the cow dung is believed to protect the children from ailments.
