23 Members of Parliament of the European Union have begun their two day trip to Jammu and Kashmir today. As pictures came in of the MPs taking Shikara rides and meeting local members of civil society. The visit by these EU MPs has come under the spotlight with opposition parties calling it an insult to Indian democracy since several Indian MPs have not been allowed to visit Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 on the 5th of August.
