Shiny hunting just got more interesting! Now if a Pokemon is Shiny, its pallet values are hue-shifted to 16 different possibilities based on its Personality Value. I could make it determined by Nature instead, since there are already Mints to change the Nature of a Pokemon. I could also add code to make specific pallets consistently get hues in specific colour ranges and change them to predetermined hues consistently so all Pokemon with a Personality Value of 1 are Royal Pokemon who load a regal red and gold colour pallet, and all Pokemon with a Personality Value of 4 load an edgy black and white and red and purple pallet. That'd be great for Shadow Pokemon. No more generic purple aura or annoying NPC who exists to waste time by yelling "That's a Shadow Pokemon!" in an unskippable cutscene every single time. Do you think Pokemon will ever become as advanced as Persona 3 was back during the 2000s, adding party members who give useful info and commentary during battles and navigation without stopping you in your tracks every single time? Considering how baby-coded Pokemon gameplay usually is, and how much the franchise loves talking your ear off with redundant NPCs infodumping the obvious, you'd think there would be a Futaba-style navigator to yell in your ear during battles and overworld navigation and tell you what to do at all times but without stopping you in your tracks every time like when NPCs call your phone.
