Top Sites in Athens you don’t want to miss!

Athens was our first stop in Greek and it certainly did not disappoint! Athens is the birthplace of democracy and as such has a lengthy history. We spent our very first day in Athens exploring many of the museums and learning about some of the history in this city. The next day we walked all throughout Athens visiting various ruins such as the Acropolis, the Roman and Ancient forums as well as Hadrian's Library. There were so many archeological sites to explore, it was certainly a history overload for one day. We would certainly recommend splitting up the museums and archeological sites in Athens over at least 3 days, but if you are short on time you can squeeze it all in 2 days like we did.
