003 How To: Mix Paints for an Acrylic Pour - Floetrol Recipe

Step by step instructions on how to mix your paints with Acrylic Pour Studios' Floetrol Recipe to achieve the right consistency.

To produce HUGE CELLS in your liquid acrylic
use the flip cup dirty pour method.

Dirty Pour Method:
Step 1: Create a "Dirty Cup" - Pour your paints one after another into a cup.
Step 2: Pour your "Dirty Cup" onto the canvas any way you like. For Landscape pours, I prefer side to side with lightest color in center working back to darkest color. That is why I usually start with darkest color first for a landscape pour.

Dirty Flip Cup (which creates Huge Cells)
Step 1: Create a "Dirty Cup" with Two Spritzes of Treadmill Silicone halfway through cup. See Video 005 for example.
Step 2: Pick up Canvas, put over top of "Dirty Pour" Cup and flip,
leaving the cup upside down on the canvas. Let it sit for a minute, then lift!

It is like receiving a surprise gift every time! No 2 pours are alike.
