Synopsis:

"Dost" is a 1974 Bollywood film that combines elements of action, drama, and romance. The story revolves around the deep and unwavering friendship between two men, played by Dharmendra and Shatrughan Sinha. They represent the values of loyalty and camaraderie amidst the challenges they face in their lives. Maanav is an orphan who was brought up by a Catholic Priest, Father Francis. After completing his M.A. he returns home to Taran Devi and finds out that his mentor his dead. He re-locates to Bombay by train, and a man named Gopichand Sharma attempts to steal his luggage, but Maanav chases him and retrieves it. Both men become friends, despite of their differences.
"Dost" emphasizes the importance of friendship and loyalty in overcoming life's adversities, making it a classic tale of brotherhood set against a backdrop of drama and romance.
