Firstly, it is now very difficult to get "nightlife scenes" on this platform without the videos being de-monetised by YouTube. So, please accept our apologies in advance if from now on if they might not be as interesting as they once were.

We were out and about again the last few weeks in the afternoon to sample some of the famous Bangkok nightlife in the centre of town and decided to have a quick walk along Soi 8, Soi 4 and Soi Cowboy on St. Patrick's Day.

We started off at about 1.30pm and a lot of the bars in Soi 4 and 8 only really get busy around 4-8pm.

Fitzgerald's Irish Pub in Soi 4 was pretty busy for obvious reasons.

Hooters in Soi 4 was still quiet. Morning Night Bar Soi 4 was as per usual the busiest bar on Soi 4 and a great vantage point.

In Soi Cowboy, two-thirds of the bars are still closed, with just a couple of bars at the Asoke entrance and a few at the far end by Soi 23 open. There are plenty of girls but don't expect stunners - Country Road is the busiest bar by a mile.

Oasis pub is a good start for cheap beers.

Trust me, if you are coming for the nightlife in Bangkok don't bother until April or beyond - it will not be what you are used to.
