As part of the Vijayawada-Bengaluru Express Highway, a 3342-kilometer-long greenfield highway is being constructed. This greenfield highway is being constructed from Kodikonda in Anantapur district to Muppavaram in Prakasam district for 342 kilometers. This new road will have a total of six lanes. As part of the construction of this greenfield highway, the greenfield highway is being constructed near Polavaram near Kanigiri in Prakasam district, and near Perangudipalli and Kalagatla in Siralapadu.
