Visiting the Jerusalem Holy Sites in One Day

Описание к видео Visiting the Jerusalem Holy Sites in One Day

In the summer of 2023, I took a trip to Israel. With limited time, I wanted to visit the Jerusalem holy sites in just one day. To see the Jerusalem holy sites in a single day, I decided to book a tour with a guide.

The tour began at the spectacular Mt. Scopus Viewing Area. According to our guide, this viewpoint offered the best views of the Old City of Jerusalem.

We spent a few minutes taking in the view and then boarded a bus that drove us to the Jaffa Gate of the Old City of Jerusalem. After walking by the Tower of David, we walked through the Jewish Quarter and arrived at the Western Wall. Behind the Western Wall was the Dome of the Rock.

One of the highlights of my one-day tour of Jerusalem was putting a prayer in the cracks of the Western Wall. We then left the Jewish Quarter and walked through the Muslim Quarter. Along the way, we stopped at a few of the Stations of the Cross. We then arrived at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to see the location where Jesus Christ was crucified and entombed.

At this point, we turned around and walked back to the Jaffa Gate, where we had some free time before going to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum.

For those who are not interested in hiring a guide, you can easily follow this route and see the main holy sites in Jerusalem. Admission is free to all of these sites, and a guide is not required.
