In this episode I set out to explore a hidden gem
of Jaisalmer - the Akal Wood Fossils Park. We drove about 25 km from the desert, across the main city and right into this remote area. It was extremely hot and the air was dry enough to cause nose bleeds. I highly recommend carrying bottles of water and staying hydrated if you’re coming to this part of town in summer.

The park is huge and there are barely any tourists around. You will have all the time in the world to explore at your own pace. Drive in, walk around or just sit by the turquoise watering hole and admire the ancient natural wonders all around. This is truly an underrated park that deserves more attention.
