These three different variations of Tower with the push through bar make for a fun sequence and challenge your coordination. These are just some of the variations I like to include in my weekly Virtual Push Through Bar class that will keep you “on your toes.”

The three versions of Tower that I’m demonstrating here are each a little different in regards to what the legs do when up in the Tower. But at the same time, the attention to what the hips are doing is a little different for each of the versions.

Like all great pilates exercises, it’s a combination of strength AND control.

⭐️About Elaine Ewing:
Elaine is owner of Rhinebeck Pilates, and a third generation, certified Authentic Pilates teacher and Certified Teacher of Teachers through the New York Pilates Studio®. They continue to host and teach this yearly conference and that has been the first in the pilates community to present “lost” apparatus and original work. Elaine enjoys researching pilates history and maintains a webpage devoted to openly sharing accurate pilates history titled: Pilates History Research Archive.
