For some reason, it is widely held as fact that we can "starve SIBO" with so-called "SIBO diets." These "SIBO diets" include the low FODMAP diet, Allison Siebecker's low FODMAP/SCD hybrid diet, the Cedars Sinai (Mark Pimentel) low fermentation diet, Nirala Jacobi's Biphasic diet, or (heaven forbid) the carnivore diet. But, not only does scientific research state that we CANNOT "starve SIBO" with these diets- it cautions against their use. This is because these diets have been shown repeatedly to cause deepened/worsened gut microbiome dysbiosis, disordered eating, and malnutrition.

If you want to REALLY heal SIBO, you need to get off of your "SIBO diet" as soon as possible...
