Features a stunning Odissi duet by Surupa Sen and Bijoyini Satpathy, senior dancers from the dance village Nrityagram, Bangalore. The striking feature of Odissi is its intimate relationship with temple sculptures as those seen in the Sun Temple of Konark. Indeed, Surupa and Bijoyini look like sculptures that have come alive. Surupa also explains the highlights of Odissi from the book "Abhinaya Chandrika." In the second half we move on to the Classical dance form of Andhra Pradesh, Kuchipudi, performed by yet another stalwart in the field, Padmashree Shoba Naidu. The episode also features a semi-classical dance form of Andhra, Perini which features an all-male ensemble. Inspired by the Rammappa temple built by the Kakatiya dynasty about 700 years ago, Guru Nataraja Ramakrishna re-created this lost art form.
