Founder of Kochi based label Rouka, Mr Sreejith Jeevan completed his graduation from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and the Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Arts Decoratifs. His collections have been displayed in various famous events including the Lakme Fashion Week. His brand embodies modern abstract with traditional designs.
At TEDxTKMCE, he talks about his inspiration to start the label and the need to uplift local artists. He emphasises on the beauty of local creations and how there does not lie much of a difference between big projects and the small one's curated locally. Having worked with textiles in India and abroad, Sreejith Jeevan now works from his studio in Kochi, creating styles that derive from the spirit of the city.
