Storyline
After being embarrassed by his fellow outlaws over his romantic feelings for Joan, Little John leaves the Blue Boar Inn in ill humour and is caught by the Sheriff's soldiers. He is captured and taken to the Sheriff who sentences him to be hanged. His Schenesal (Patrick Troughton) warns that no local man will dare to incur the wrath of Robin Hood by hanging Little John, and so the Sheriff sends for a masked executioner from the Tower of London.
