There's a lot more that you can do with blend modes in GameMaker besides the four that I talked about last week. Let's go over some of the things you can do with the gpu_set_blendmode_ext function!

A few years after this video was made, GameMaker added support for the blending equation. This makes a few more Photoshop blend modes doable without a shader:
