This is a clever trick that can simplify multiplication of two two-digit numbers. When the ones digits of the numbers match and the tens digits have a sum of 10, the final two digits of the product will simply be the square of the common ones digit, and the first two digits of the product will be the product of the individual tens digits plus the common ones digit.
