The people of Sisana village in Bagpat, UP had been complaining to DM Asmita Lal about the heaps of garbage in the village for a long time. They said that infectious diseases were spreading in the village due to the garbage. The DM took the complaint of the villagers seriously. After which she reached Sisana village, she found heaps of garbage there. After which she herself picked up a broom and started cleaning the place. When the officials came to know about it, there was a stir among them. They also reached the spot and started cleaning. The DM warned the concerned officials that if heaps of garbage are found in the village now, then action will be taken.
There was a stir in Sisana village of Baghpat when DM Asmita Lal reached the village at around 10:30 am on Wednesday and started inspecting the cleanliness system. After complaints of heaps of garbage in the streets of the village and lack of cleaning for a long time, the DM herself picked up the broom and started the campaign. After her move, the officials came into action and cleaning was started in a hurry.
During the inspection, the villagers told that for the past five years, regular cleaning is not being done in the village and garbage is spread on the roads. On this, the DM reprimanded the DPRO. He said that I do not know how you will do it, but cleaning should be done now. After this, the DPRO himself started the cleaning. At the same time, many other officials including CDO Neeraj Kumar Srivastava also cleaned the dirt with brooms in their hands.
