Balian’s shipwreck and
his encounter with a Muslim cavalier and his servant.
Balian has been in pursuit of a horse that survived the wreckage,
and the cavalier wants the horse, challenging Balian
in a fight to the death. Balian disposes of him
(despite having survived a shipwreck, and extreme thirst) a
nd spares the servant (Alexander Siddig),
who takes him to Jerusalem

[Scene 2]
In Jerusalem, Balian gives his horse to Imad.
Imad : "Your quality will be known among your enemies..
before ever you meet them, my friend."

[Scene 3]
Balian and his knights are defending
the castle of Kerak from Saladin’s army.
Imad : "You reap, what you sow."

[Scene 4]
After the city of Jerusalem surrenders to Saladin.
Imad returened his horse as a gift to Balian.
