Encounters with strangers: The photography of Niall McDiarmid

A unique conversation between British photographers Niall McDiarmid and Daniel Meadows during the final stages of preparing for Niall's 'Town to Town' exhibition at The Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol, UK from 31 January - 12 May 2018.

Niall is one of the Britain's most highly regarded street portraiture photographers in recent years and has published three books of his work - the most recent being 'Town to Town'.

Although nearly 45 years have elapsed since Daniel travelled around England creating street portraits in his Free Photographic Omnibus http://www.photobus.co.uk his continuing interest and passion for interacting with people is evident in this discussion as he explores Niall's motivation and practice in capturing unique, contemporary portraits of strangers in his own style.
