RCGD Global and Fashion Takes Action have partnered to deliver accessible digital video series to introduce sustainable fashion to educators and across communities. The educational capsule consists of six short videos that provide an overview of the key sustainability issues in the fashion industry and how to address them.

Sustainability in fashion is a growing industry, both in terms of designers being conscious of the materials they use, as well as customers looking for eco-friendly options. As such, an understanding of how to design for sustainability is increasingly important. ‘Design For Sustainability’ explains how, by breaking down the key components into four simple tips: starting with a sustainable mindset; understanding processes and choosing materials that minimise waste; researching consumer's wants and needs when it comes to eco fashion; and finally, using innovative technologies to reduce environmental impact. The video, which features designer and sustainability advocate @NikkiReed and is part of a 6-part series, also provides more detailed information on each step helping viewers become experts on designing for sustainability.
