Zia Chaudhry

Barrister, author and speaker;
Director of Premier Advocacy;
former member of the Liverpool Cathedral Council.

Zia Chaudhry was born in Burnley and moved to Liverpool at a young age, where, after completing his education, he established his practice as a criminal barrister.

He became involved in interfaith work alongside his legal career and this led to him writing "Just Your Average Muslim" - a reflection on his life as a British Muslim. Zia has regularly spoken about issues related to Islam and Muslims and was awarded an MBE for services to interfaith relations in 2015.

Zia left the Bar in 2018 and since then has developed a portfolio career which includes law tutoring, workplace investigations and being a non-executive director at the Liverpool Women's Hospital.
