NSUI Demands to Ban NTA and to Organize RENEET Exam Through Peaceful March

New Delhi, June 15, 2024 Today, under the leadership of NSUI National President Varun Choudhary, the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) organized a peaceful Mashal March from the NSUI Office towards Jantar Mantar. This march aimed to raise awareness and protest against the recent NTA and NEET Exam Scam, which has jeopardized the future of countless students across the nation.

However, in a blatant attempt to suppress our democratic right to protest, the Delhi Police have placed barricades outside the NSUI Office, forcibly preventing our members from proceeding with the march. This unwarranted police blockade is a direct infringement on our fundamental rights to peaceful assembly and free expression.

Varun Choudhary stated, "After Bihar, the evidence from Godhra is the second proof of this scam. We demand the immediate ban of the NTA and strict action against all NTA officials involved. I also condemn the police for filing cases against NSUI National Secretary Honey Bagga and other members. I demand that Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrange for the RENEET exam. If this demand is not met, NSUI will ensure that the Parliament session does not start. We will encircle the Parliament during the upcoming sessions."

The NSUI demands:

1. Immediate ban on the National Testing Agency (NTA) due to its failure to conduct fair and transparent examinations.
2. Organization of a re-examination, termed as RENEET, to ensure a fair opportunity for all affected students.
3. Assurance of transparency and fairness in all future examinations conducted by any new or existing agency.
