We certainly live in… exciting times…
Even if you ignore the barrage of headlines that would have been considered once in a generation events just a few years ago, we are still living through perhaps the most intense period of technological and societal change in human history.
On a more personal level we are working jobs that didn’t exist a generation ago, making a career in ways that… may or may not even be legal… and living lives that are going to look considerably different from our parents (for better or worse)...
Amongst all of this… uhhh… “excitement” it has become very easy to chase new trends, fall into increasingly easy financial traps and adopt a rather nihilistic view that maybe all of these changes aren’t leading us in the right direction.
… but you already knew all of that…
What all of this has shown though, is the hidden brilliance of boring.
Boring jobs, boring investments, boring decisions, and maybe even a boring lifestyle have gone from an unfortunate burden to a coveted luxury that even the richest people in the world are embracing (or at least they are pretending to)
