Overall i like the Victorinox for quality, its superior in every aspect of quality, while functionality as a work knife i prefer the leatherman. The leatherman has a bit changer and bit kit which you can attach all kinds of bits, also has a decent large blade vs the bread knife on the victorinox.

The leatherman has the large blade which opens with one hand, and also a serrated blade both which lock open. The swiss tool only has the serrated bread knife which really isnt much of a knife at the end of the day.

The steel quality on the leatherman though is pretty poor, my knife hasnt had a whole lot of use yet and there are little chunks of metal missing from the large blade already. It was a poor finish from new. The victorinox tool im showing here has had a fair amount of use, and there arent really any marks anywhere on the tool, even on the polished steel edges of the knife.

The one handed opening feature on the leatherman is a definate winner when your using it at work, often you'll be holding something your working on and wont have a second hand to open up the knife. Its very fast to open and use that way.

Overall i'd say the victorinox swiss tool is a great tool to leave in the glove box, as you'll be able to get a decent amount of work done with it, great for camping etc. But the Leatherman wave, is the superior tool for the working man / tradesmen somebody that will use all the functions of the knife regularly.

I've just realised after recording this video that this particular model doesnt have the large pointy blade, but there is another model that does, so i'd have a look at that. It still doesnt have the bit kit or one handed open feature however though.
