On day two of the Global Conference on AI for Agriculture, NABARD highlighted its role in advancing technology-driven agriculture. Key discussions focused on investing in agri-AI, scalable innovations, and building a global AI-powered agricultural network involving policymakers, financial institutions, researchers, and industry leaders. NABARD is actively digitizing cooperatives under the Ministry of Cooperation, with 70,000 cooperatives already digitized and a target of 100,000. These initiatives aim to make the rural sector data-efficient, strengthening AI applications in agriculture and rural finance. The organization is also sharing India’s AI-driven agricultural solutions with countries in Africa, Latin America, and Fiji through MOUs and global collaborations, leveraging India’s experience in digital public infrastructure like the Kisan Credit Card and agreeme development.
