Late in the book of Numbers, we switch perspectives to Balak, the king of the Moabites, and watch as he tries to curse the Israelites from afar. He does this through hiring a sorcerer named Balaam, who is dumber than his donkey. Even unseen, God is working towards His ends & purposes. If we're working against Him, for our own power, benefit & profit, His unseen works won't be advantageous to us. But because God is faithful to His covenants, if we are aligned with Him, He will protect us in ways we don't even realize.
