This video documents our Bangalore to Hampi Temple road trip, one of the most peaceful and spiritually powerful journeys in Karnataka.
We started our Bangalore to Hampi journey early in the morning and experienced one of the most beautiful sunrises near Chitradurga, followed by scenic highways, tunnels, windmills, and the Tungabhadra river stretch before reaching Hampi.
Once we entered Hampi, the experience completely changed.
We explored some of the most iconic temples and monuments of the Vijayanagara Empire including Virupaksha Temple, where living traditions, ancient rituals, temple elephants, and stone inscriptions still exist. Walking through the Hampi Bazaar next to Virupaksha Temple felt like stepping into history, with guest houses, cafés, shopping streets, and homestays built around centuries-old heritage.
The journey continued to Vittala (Vittala) Temple, home to the legendary stone chariot and musical pillars, a place where science, art, and spirituality come together. We also visited Lotus Mahal, known for its royal architecture and natural cooling design, followed by the serene Madhava Temple, which reflects the spiritual balance of the Vijayanagara rulers.
We explored the massive Elephant Stables, which once housed the royal elephants of the empire and showcase advanced ancient engineering and city planning. Each structure we visited revealed hidden stories, mysteries, and forgotten knowledge carved in stone.
This Bangalore to Hampi Temple travel vlog is not just a road trip — it is a journey through history, architecture, devotion, and emotion. From highways to heritage, temples to bazaars, this video captures the true soul of Hampi.
If you’re planning a Bangalore to Hampi Temple trip, looking for temple history, monument insights, or a spiritual travel experience, this video will help you plan better and understand Hampi beyond just sightseeing.
