Commander Ziltoid the Omniscient, of Ziltoidia 9, is the brain child of the enigmatic and incomparable Devin Townsend. After Strapping Young Lad, Devin sought a new avenue to heavy music, and found it in an avant garde rock opera based on the character Ziltoid.

After releasing a few Ziltoid records with the Devin Townsend Project, and doing a few amazing live shows, podcasts and videos about, and featuring Ziltoid, it's safe to say that Ziltoid is Devin's other half.
