කැළණිවැලි දුම්රිය මාර්ගයේ ප්‍රගතිය පිළිබඳවයි අද අපි කතා කරන්නේ. කැළණිවැලිය දුම්රිය මාර්ගයේ අවිස්සාවේල්ලේ සිට ඕපනායක දක්වා දීර්ඝ කිරීමේ අවශ්‍යතාව පිළිබඳව අප නාලිකාව දිගින් දිගටම කරුණු පෙන්වා දුන්නා. මේ කාරණය පිළිබඳ මේ මොහොත වන විට දැවැන්ත සමාජ පිබිදීමක් දක්නට ලැබෙනවා.ඒ වෙනුවෙන් ජනමාධ්‍ය, සමාජ මාධ්‍ය මෙන්ම ඒ වෙනුවෙන් කැපවන්නන්ගේ හඩ ඉතා ප්‍රභලව බලපා තිබෙනවා. ඒ අනුව මේ වෙද්දී මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන්  අදාල බලධාරීන්ගේ මෙන්ම විෂය භාර අමාත්‍යවරයාගේත් අවධානය යම් පමනකට යොමුව තිබෙනව.මේ අවදානය දිනකින් දෙකකින් ඇතිවූ දෙයක් නම් නෙමේ.ඒ සදහා අවදානය ලබා ගැනීමට පමණක් වසර කිහිපයක් පුරා දුම්රිය ඉල්ලා හඩ නැගීමට දුම්රිය ලෝලීන්ට සිදු වුනා. 

හැමදාම එකම විදිහට හැමදේම නොපවතින බව ඔප්පු කරමින් මේ වන විට අවිස්සාවේල්ලේ සිට රත්නපුර දෙසට දුම්රිය මාර්ගය ඉදිවීමේ සුබ පෙරනිමිති පෙන්නුම් කරමින් පවතිනවා.
