Husqvarna went back to the drawing board and created an entirely new Automower platform for the 410iQ, 420iQ, and 440iQ models. One big upgrade found in the iQ series models is the cutting system which is definitely an improved design compared to the cutting system found in previous models. This might be a surprise to some people, but the 430X, 430XH, 450X, 450XH, 520, 520H, 550, 550H, 450X EPOS, 450XH EPOS, 520 EPOS, 520H EPOS, 550 EPOS, 550H EPOS, and a few other models of Automowers not available in North America all used the same cutting system. In this video we compare the cutting system used in all of those older models to the cutting system used in the 410iQ, 420iQ, and 440iQ Automowers. The cutting system used in the iQ Automowers is a better design with less moving parts and is easier to service and repair compared to the design used in the older Automower models. Another big advantage to the cutting system found in the 410iQ, 420iQ, and 440iQ models is that the entire cutting system can be replaced as one complete module if need be. The older cutting system required each part to be replaced individually because there was no option to replace the entire system. This improved cutting system is one of several reasons why the 410iQ, 420iQ, and 440iQ Automower models are a better choice even when compared to the 450X EPOS, 450XH EPOS, 550 EPOS, 550H EPOS, and other previous Automower models.
