This video focuses on Mobility International USA's (MIUSA) unique model of international leadership training, the Women’s Institute on Leadership and Disability (WILD) held in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Initiated in 1997, WILD is an outcome of the Beijing UN Women’s Conference. The WILD program offers a proven, effective, replicable model for empowering women with disabilities to be leaders across the globe.

Building a pipeline of women leaders with disabilities is crucial for reaching development goals, such as alleviating poverty, achieving gender equality and accessing justice. WILD alumni are already playing a critical role in contributing to the development of their communities.

With MIUSA’s new WILD facilitator’s manual and a train-the-trainer approach, we can expand the impact of WILD, so that women with disabilities will be equipped with the tools and skills to replicate this unique model for leadership training in their own countries.
