Labrang Monastery is one of the six major monasteries of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism, the most famous Tibetan Tantric Institute in the world, and has the most complete Tibetan Buddhist teaching system in China.
It is a magnificent monastery with a magnificent monastery complex that houses countless huge Buddha statues and a variety of exquisite sculptures, murals and Dharma vessels. The super-long prayer promenade of Labrang Monastery is rare in the world, with more than 2,000 prayer wheels. If you plan to turn every prayer wheel in the promenade, it takes you at least an hour to finish the process.
At the southwest corner of Labrang Monastery is an old wooden bridge that spans the Xiahe River. Crossing the bridge up the hill, you can stand on the sunbathing platform and enjoy a panoramic view of Labrang Monastery.

There are six sutra halls in the temple, the largest being the Hall of Sutra, also known as the Great Hall of Sutra, which is the place where the meeting of the "Tsering Tsotsi" is held and is the pivot of the whole temple. When the Gyalmudzi the First built the hall, there were only 80 pillars, and in 1772 Gyalmudzi the Second expanded it to 140 pillars, which can accommodate 3,000 monks chanting sutras.
