The central government has implemented new reservation and domicile rules for Ladakh. Now local people will get 85 percent reservation in government jobs and one-third of the total seats in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Councils have been reserved for women. According to the notification, to get a Domicile Certificate of Ladakh, it is necessary to be a resident there for a period of 15 years. English, Hindi, Urdu, Bhoti and Purgi languages have been made official languages in Ladakh.
केंद्र सरकार ने Ladakh के लिए नए आरक्षण और अधिवास नियम (Domicile Rules) लागू कर दिया है. अब स्थानीय लोगों को सरकारी नौकरियों में 85 प्रतिशत आरक्षण मिलेगा और Ladakh स्वायत्त पर्वतीय विकास परिषदों में कुल सीट में से एक तिहाई सीट महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित की गई हैं. अधिसूचना के अनुसार Ladakh के Domicile Certificate के लिए 15 साल की अवधि तक वहां का निवासी होना जरूरी है. अंग्रेजी, हिंदी, उर्दू, भोटी और पुरगी भाषा को लद्दाख में आधिकारिक भाषा बनाया गया है.
