"Do you want to know how to access 1.5 Gbps internet on a supercharged computer, all for the cost of just Kes 66 bob per hour? Imagine running a speed test and seeing results that feel like a rocket flying through space, with blazing-fast internet speeds at your fingertips."
"In this video, I’m going to show you how you can access a high-speed, low-cost Windows computer through AWS, with up to 1.5 Gbps internet speed using an EC2 instance, and trust me, it's easier than you think! Stick with me for the step-by-step guide on setting this up!"
Step-by-Step Guide:
Step 1: Sign Up or Log In to AWS
If you don't already have an AWS account, head over to aws.amazon.com and sign up. AWS offers a free tier, but for today's supercharged internet, we’ll be using a paid Windows EC2 instance.
Once logged in, go to the EC2 Dashboard.
Step 2: Launching Your EC2 Windows Instance
Click on Launch Instance.
In the instance setup, search for Windows Server 2019 (or any other preferred Windows version).
Choose an instance type. If you want to experience up to 1.5 Gbps speeds, select an instance like t3.2xlarge or higher.
Note: Pricing may vary based on the instance type, but for a rough estimate, t3.2xlarge costs around Kes 66 bob per hour.
Step 3: Configure Your Network
Set up the network settings and select the VPC that provides you with high-speed internet capabilities.
Make sure the Security Group allows RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) traffic by adding a custom TCP rule for port 3389.
Step 4: Generate Key Pair for Access
In the key pair settings, create a new key pair and download it (make sure to keep it safe; you’ll need it to connect later).
Step 5: Launch Your Instance
Review your settings, click Launch, and wait for the instance to initialize (this could take a few minutes).
Step 6: Connect to Your Windows EC2 Instance
Once the instance is up and running, click on Connect in the EC2 console.

Select the RDP Client tab.
Download the Remote Desktop File.
Retrieve the Administrator password by clicking Get Password (use the key pair you downloaded earlier to decrypt it).
Step 7: Open Remote Desktop Connection (RDP)
On your local Windows machine, open Remote Desktop Connection.
Enter the public IP address of your EC2 instance (you can find this in the EC2 dashboard under your instance details).
Use the Administrator username and the password you retrieved to log in.
Step 8: Experience the High-Speed Internet
Once logged in, you are now using a high-speed AWS EC2 Windows computer.
To test your internet speed, open a browser, go to speedtest.net, and watch the rocket launch as your speed test flies through the roof with speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps!
Closing:
"And there you have it! You are now connected to a high-speed Windows computer through AWS with incredible internet speeds, all for just Kes 66 bob per hour. Whether you're video editing, gaming, or just exploring the possibilities of the cloud, AWS has you covered."
