I often drive to Vancouver, BC, but this time, I wanted to do something different to celebrate my partner's birthday, so we decided to take the Amtrak Cascades train.

■ Coach class: more affordable.
■ Business class: offers additional perks like more legroom, discounted beverages, priority boarding, and going through customs first.

🚆 Departure from Seattle (King Street Station). It’s a beautiful building with a classic feel.

👮 Boarding: you’ll want to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.

✨ Pros:
■ You’re free to walk around.
■ Scenic views: the Pacific Northwest coastline is beautiful, with forests, mountains, and water views.
■ Relaxed travel: no stress of driving or dealing with airport security.
■ Customs efficiency: customs is faster for business class passengers.

⚠️ Cons:
■ Amtrak trains are dated, so don’t expect luxury.
■ Wi-Fi is often unreliable, so bring entertainment or enjoy the views.
■ Not always smooth: train rides can be bumpy, and the journey is not as fast as flying, but the experience is much more relaxed if you have something to do.
