🇺🇸 Ponsse manufactures and sells a variety of forestry equipment, such as harvesters, forwarders, and harvester heads. Every product is manufactured at the company's headquarters in Vieremä, Finland.

The year 2000 was significant for Ponsse's product development. Following the most extensive product development project ever undertaken in the company's history, the 2001 product family with Mercedes-Benz engines was launched at Ponsse's 30th anniversary party. The new product family consists of two different harvester; Ergo and Beaver - and three different forwarder models; Buffalo, Caribou and Bison - and has been planned to meet the demands of the 2000s. Besides the machines modern design and efficiency, attention has been paid to their fuel economy, ease of servicing and user-friendliness. All new models featured a completely redesigned cab. Machines were renamed in conjunction with the launching of the new product family. The model names’ letter and number combinations were discontinued, and therefore the models’ type designations were simplified. The latest addition to the product family was the Beaver harvester. At the same time the company launched "OptiControl", a digital control system created as a result of Ponsse's own development work. Year 2002 saw two new additions to the new range of models launched in 2001: the Buffalo Dual harvester and the Wisent forwarder. In 2003, the 2004 model series were launched. New machine models are the Wisent Dual, a medium sized harvester, and Gazelle, a 10-tonne forwarder. Gazelle forwarder replaced the Caribou forwarder, which is no longer made, Ponsse complemented its forwarder range with BuffaloKing, which has an 18-tonne load carrying capacity.

🇫🇮 Vuosi 2000 oli merkittävä Ponssen tuotteiden kehitystyön kannalta. Tähän asti suurimman tuotekehitysprojektinsa tuloksena syntynyt uusi tuoteperhe esiteltiin Ponssen 30-vuotisjuhlassa syyskuulla. Uusi tuoteperhe koostui kahdesta eri harvesterimallista; Ergo ja Beaver sekä kolmesta eri kuormatraktorimallista; Buffalo, Caribou ja Bison. Uusi mallisto oli suunniteltu vastaamaan 2000-luvun asettamiin vaatimuksiin. Koneiden nykyaikaisen muotoilun ja tehokkuuden lisäksi huomio oli kohdistettu koneiden polttoainetalouteen sekä huolto- ja käyttäjäystävällisyyteen. Uusissa malleissa oli myös täysin uusittu ohjaamo. Tuoteperheen uusimisen yhteydessä konemallien nimiä uusittiin. Mallinimien kirjain- ja numeroyhdistelmät poistuivat ja näin mallien tyyppimerkinnät yksinkertaistuivat. Uusin tulokas tuoteperheeseen oli Beaver-harvesteri. Samassa yhteydessä esiteltiin digitaalinen ohjausjärjestelmä, OptiControl, joka on luotu yhtiön oman kehitystyön tuloksena. Vuonna 2002 mallisto sai kaksi uutta lisäystä: Buffalo Dual -harvesterin ja Wisent-harvesterin. Vuonna 2003 lanseerattiin vuoden 2004 mallisarja. Uusia konemalleja olivat keskikokoinen harvesteri Wisent Dual ja 10 tonnin kuormatraktori Gazelle. Gazelle korvasi tuotannosta poistuneen Caribou-kuormatraktorin. Vuonna 2004 Ponsse täydensi kuormatraktorimallistoaan BuffaloKingillä, jonka kantavuus on 18 tonnia.
