Robert Prager lynching site, Collinsville, Illinois

Описание к видео Robert Prager lynching site, Collinsville, Illinois

This is a 2-part episode: one where I recently visited the marker spot at St. Johns Cemetery in Collinsville, Illinois - and nearly a year earlier when I attended the marker dedication/unveiling ceremony. Speeches were made by local author/historian Pete Stehman and Collinsville mayor John Miller.

One of the worst lynchings to ever happen in the United States took place near St. Johns Cemetery. Prager was the only foreigner and German-American to be lynched in the United States during World War I.
