Handling Harpuia with quite a few limitations

Описание к видео Handling Harpuia with quite a few limitations

And so, the same limitations as the run of Aztec Falcon return! No damage, no charging, buster only, no walls (obviously), no dashing, no missing.

So, Harpuia is rather known for being consistent in this game. While this is true, the difficulty of the battle varies depending on how you make use of that consistency. While charge slashing him is obviously an easy way to get things over with, and so are quite a few other strategies, putting yourself under this amount of limitations means you have to be decently precise and careful while fighting him.

First, you'll want to interrupt his flight - this in of itself requires a decent amount of precision and how far he's knocked back can affect what you do next. That is because after making sure you're as far to the left as possible, you'll want to keep shooting him after his fourth slash each time, and depending on how far he is, you'll either be able to or won't be able to do that a fifth time, rather than just fourth.

Regardless, after 4/5 shots, dodge his slash again and then shoot to knock him back into the corner again, get away and repeat the cycle - now with 5/6 shots instead, with the first two being easier if you get a little closer to him in mid-air. It's also best to not get greedy with the ground shot, as you'll have a decent amount of time to do it without risking a miss, and you also want to do full jumps against slashes, especially the last one, as their hitboxes aren't that forgiving. If doing the 6th shot, it's best to shoot a little late so it's fired when he lowers down.

Finally, to counter what he does after you dodge his slash so you can knock him back and do the usual, it's best to jump slightly to hit him when he lowers down so there's less of a chance to miss him. Don't just assume he'll only do this and get used to it, however - he can do two other things.

First, he can stop and attempt to summon his drills; this attack is slightly difficult to react to, but it's very easy to counter, as you can just knock him back and either resume shots or, if he's already too close, dodge again and prepare for another attack.

Something else he can do, however, is attempt to begin his EX Skill, where he will first hang in the air for longer and slash down, and then lower himself. This is a point in the fight where you don't want to wait for him to lower down - once he begins to do so, get close and shoot, as the moment he finishes, he'll begin his EX Skill start animation and turn invincible.

Harpuia's voicelines feel weird because some of them sound feminine, while some of them sound masculine. Maybe it's just my perception.
