However, with the recent accident resulting from the illegal U-turn at the Florida turnpike, it has brought back to the center of focus the gravity of our situation. As truckers, we aren't just hauling freight in simple machines. We are wielding heavy machinery with the potential to end lives through even the simplest of actions. What might seem like a harmless turn could result in mass casualties. But truckers aren't solely to blame. Private motor vehicles equally share a responsibility in understanding that even simple actions can result in irreparable damage or loss of life, even if it's as simple as checking your phone or sending a message.

It only takes a second of negligence to cause an accident.
