Tom Gleeson was brought up in country New South Wales, and he studied maths and physics at university.

But it wasn’t until he formed an indie band in Sydney, and started telling off the crowd, that he discovered his true talent for stand up comedy.

Years later, Tom travelled to Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain Australian soldiers. It was there he redefined his distinctively caustic, laconic style of humour.
