Recently XL Fleet announced that one of NFI Groups' subsidiaries which is one of the world’s leading independent global bus makers wants to electrify some of their buses with XL’s hybrid-electric propulsion system. These buses will be able to be accessible for individuals who require a wheelchair so I think it’s great for these types of vehicles to be upgraded first. according to this report, the subsidiary already has sold 39 vehicles with XL’s hybrid propulsion system in 2021. By electrifying the buses helps both companies because XL Fleet gets business and the Subsidiary of NFI Group gets the benefits of a hybrid Electric vehicle such as improved fuel economy, lower emissions to the environment, and it helps the company reach their sustainability goals quicker.
