Just the other night I awoke from a dream
But it felt more like a memory
It was probably just a nightmare
Or possibly a prophecy

When I came to I was hanging from a tree
Two other blokes were hanging next to me
One of them was dead I could clearly see
When I saw the other one I said to myself well fark me

He said son it's alright to cuss
Ain't no one can hear but the two of us
Seeing as though we're about to be set free
Could you spare some time to do something for me?

I said what the hell am I supposed to do?
Ain't you seen the state of me and you?
He said son you still got eyes to see
So why don't you use them and play I spy with me?

Then he said I spy with my little eye
Something that begins with c
I said I don't like to use those words
And he said considering everything well it's alright with me

Coz I've been hanging with Jesus

He looked at me and said we ain't got long
I said I'm not sure about this song
Something about it feels a little wrong
And he said why do you think that you failed it?
Coz from where I'm hanging, son, you bloody nailed it!
