Well, yall it's been a while since we pulled Old Blue from the barn he had been at rest in for many many years. We were making steady progress on the build before we had to take a break from hotrods and work on a project to help us in the future. After getting our first rental on the market, we played catch up at the shop between exhaust jobs and turbo kits. Johny Cash the 12 valve Cummins powered truck came into the picture and took time away from Old Blue as well. I had a little time to kill between customer cars so.... we saved the rotting long bed from sitting out until it was scrap and repurposed it into a bookshelf. Sanded some of the primer down and got that beautiful 1957 Chevy blue to come out, then wiped the bed down with ‪@poppyspatina‬ It turned out killer! I built a frame out of 2x4s and laid some 1x4 pine slats for the bed floor. Then finished it off with some local milled rough cut red oak we pulled from our neighbors' property. I'm super stoked at how this turned out.
